Here at PFB HQ, we're making great progress on this front at the moment. To help us meet our five objectives for plastic-free status, we need to get one school signed up to the programme, but if we can get more on board then all the better!

​

It's super easy to get involved. Check out the link below - it tells you everything you need to know to get started. There are five manageable tasks that the school will need to carry out and don't forget that PFB are here to help you along the way.

Trinity All Saints Primary School are currently making fantastic progress on this front. They have a team of ambassadors who, along with the whole school, have made a wonderful ocean display in their school out of plastic to highlight the issue. They are working together to achieve the 17 sustainable development goals and have already identified all the plastic in their school that can be eliminated or reduced. We wish them luck and support with getting started on the plastic-free school toolkit!

Myrtle Park Primary School have expressed a strong interest and we really hope they get cracking on this soon! We're also hopeful that Crossflats are getting involved...who will be our first plastic-free school in Bingley?!

​

Secondary schools can get on board too and Bingley Grammar School have worked hard to eliminate more than three single use plastics and are pleased to be working alongside the catering company P&A Food Management who use compostable vegware in their packaging and cutlery. We hope they sign up to become a plastic free school soon. Beckfoot, Hazelebeck and Priesthorpe schools have pledged a commitment to sign up to the campaign and we applaud the work of Rohan and his student eco team at Beckfoot who are working hard to spread the word!
